The domain name .com is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the Domain Name System of the Internet. .COM is one of the first set of gTLD. It was first implemented for use on the Internet in January 1985. The internet celebrates a landmark event on the 15 March – the 25th birthday of the day the first dotcom name was registered.
